Tangle Table

For those of you who have been to our presentation on Tangle Tables.  Here is a downloadable copy of a compressed folder that includes an Excel file for each Tangle Table, Tangle Table Test as well as a sheet for tracking student progress.

  1. I got the link here from another blog... how do you use the tangle tables? They look interesting.

    1. It looks as though the tables are multiplication tables arranged differently. It requires students to think about the numbers they multiply. For example, let's look at Tangle_Table03. In the first spreadsheet, the numbers to use are at the bottom where it says "From 3 to 12." So, find out how the numbers are arranged! The answer is given in the second spreadsheet labeled TEST.

I haven't looked through all the tables but I think I would give more numbers for my students to look at to figure out how the tables are arranged. I'm sure there's a minimum to make it "Very Easy" and fewer numbers given to make it "Easy." The way the tables are currently set up are rather "Hard" or "Very Hard."
